I never had the intention of quitting coffee… why would I? The aroma, taste, and warmth were a comforting hug every morning after a broken night’s sleep with toddlers and babies.
But the first time I tried my (now) favorite coffee alternative that tastes like coffee… I was sure that I could cut back on my coffee addiction. After a few weeks of drinking Fasted Fuel, I didn’t even miss my morning cup of black coffee that left me jittery and my stomach in knots.
Want to know more about why I decided to break-up with coffee and choose a no-caffeine coffee alternative and the product I’ve switched to full time? I was hoping you would ask.
Why Stop Drinking Coffee?
Quitting coffee can have a profound impact on various aspects of your health, including oral health. One notable concern is its association with an increased risk of cavities. Coffee is acidic, and frequent consumption can erode tooth enamel, leading to dental problems. Cutting out coffee can be a positive step towards preserving your oral health, preventing cavities, and maintaining a bright, white smile.
Another area where quitting coffee can bring about positive changes is in gut health. Coffee is known to stimulate the production of stomach acid, which can be harsh on the digestive system, potentially leading to discomfort, indigestion, and acid reflux. By eliminating coffee, you allow your digestive system to function more smoothly, promoting a healthier gut environment. This shift may contribute to improved overall digestive well-being and a reduction in gastrointestinal issues.
Moreover, quitting coffee can positively influence sleep health. Caffeine, a central component in coffee, is a stimulant that can interfere with the body’s natural sleep-wake cycle. By discontinuing coffee intake, especially in the afternoon and evening, you may experience better sleep quality and find it easier to fall asleep. Improved sleep not only enhances overall well-being but also contributes to better cognitive function, mood regulation, and overall productivity during waking hours.
Before switching to a coffee alternative that tastes like coffee, I had noticed my teeth becoming more yellow and sensitive, and my sleep was a wreck. Fasted Fuel has helped me sleep better and I’m delighted that my teeth have returned to their natural color! Fasted Fuel: A Coffee Alternative That Tastes Like Coffee
The solution to my coffee woes? Fasted Fuel!
Fasted Fuel is a coffee replacement in the form of a powder. You can add a scoop to warm water for a drink that tastes just like a creamy cappuccino, add it to cold water for an iced coffee treat, or mix it with milk for the most decadent and rich coffee treat.
What’s In It?
The main ingredients in Fasted Fuel are MCT powder (from grass-fed butter), Alpha-lipoic acid, and Vitamin B12. It is sweetened with Monkfruit, making this a no sugar, caffeine-free coffee alternative.
The combination of these ingredients gives you the same boost that regular coffee does, but without the crash. Furthermore, the Vitamin B12 is methylated, making it more bioavailable.
What Does It Taste Like?
Fasted Fuel definitely does not taste like black coffee… it tastes so much better! My best attempt at describing the taste of this coffee alternative is a mix between a latte and a creamy cappuccino.
I love this product because I can dress it up in different ways and make it taste different. During the fall, I add a dash of pumpkin spice and heavy cream for my own (healthy) version of a Pumpkin Spice Latte. In the summer months, I add a scoop to a banana and peanut butter smoothie and it’s a cold snack we can all enjoy (yep, I give this stuff to my kids and they LOVE it!).
Do I miss coffee? Not really. I realize now that the ritual of my warm cup of “something” was what I was truly tied to, and I don’t have to sacrifice it thanks to this coffee alternative. Grab a tub (or two) for yourself and see what all the hype is about!
